Wilderness Wildlife Week Schedule Day 4

There was another light dusting of snow in the Smoky Mountains a perfect reminder that it is time for day 4 of the 2010 Wilderness Wildlife Week at the Music Road convention center in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Though we are halfway into the week, we have another action packed schedule for everyone who attends young or old!

More roads in the Great Smoky Mountains national park have opened as some of the snow has melted and it will be a little warmer for the guided hikes today that you must have already signed up for. You can sign up today in the Guitar room by 6 pm for Thursday guided hikes in the GSMNP.

Plenty of new programs being presented today as some updated programs that have been given last year. There is also some great programs for kids as well as Appalachiafest with lots of great music and even some clogging which starts at 4 pm.

Programs of special note today include the Elk in Smokies program presented by park biologist Kim Delozier who is a wealth of information, panel discussion of Pigeon Forge's Early Settlers, and Richard Iceland's lecture on Digital and Film Photography, and Smoky Mountains and history buffs in general will love the panel discussion when electricity, cars, radios and indoor plumbing came into use in the Smokies.
