The gas lines are gone and the prices for gas in the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Smoky Mountains are back to being below the national average.

Right after the Hurricane that blew through Texas, the gas shortages and North Carolina and Tennessee started, first with huge price increases and then with severe shortages.

Gradually in the first week prices came back down to more normal levels and now gas availability and gas prices in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains are no longer a concern.

Prices still remain higher and availability is tighter in North Carolina and is improving steadily.
